Amazing art

I would like you to introduce you Goum. He turns out to be the twin brother of a good friend of mine. When he showed me his brother's blog I went like crazy! It's just so cool! I just wanted to share it with you all as well as add it to the links list.

Hope you enjoy it!

Working At GRIN Barcelona

Hey folks!

Though maybe it's just kind of old news I just wanted to let you know I'm back at home, working at GRIN Barcelona. I've been working here for some 5 months now. Pheeew, time goes by just really quickly!

It's a good place to work in. Great, nice people and some interesting perks.

We're now developing "Wanted: Weapons of Fate". It's a game, but it's also a kind of sequel from "Wanted" movie. Though it's not yet released, it has already been announced at the media and looks like people likes it.

Here goes some related links:

Never Let You Down at Aniboom!

I've kindly been invited to enter Aniboom's 2nd Annual Awards '07. I've already posted my WIP "Never Let Your Down". As it's far from finished , it's on unpolished category. Even so, it's my pleasure to invite you all to come and have a peek at it. As far as I know some of you might have seen it, but come anyway and give a look. Just remember to vote on me should the short movie be of your like.

Here's the link: http://www.aniboom.com/Player.aspx?v=106339

Thank you for your support!

New Portfolio

Some of you have actually realized there's been some time since I posted fresh work. It's not just me getting asleep. I thought it was about time to build me up a more pro portfolio. Now all my work is being uploaded to CG Society. Should you like to enjoy some new animations as well as a WIP of my short film, you've only got to go to:

I've also allowed a guest book there. Just in case...

Animator at MPC

I'm really proud and excited to announce I've been hired by The Moving Picture Company, MPC for short, for they current project: Prince Caspian.

Last September I went on an AM gathering to London and we happily toured some major London film studios. I left my show reel on each one of them, eager to know what did they think of my skills. I was really delighted to receive positive response from all of them and MPC even offered me a job!

So, next week I'm moving to London, where I'll stay for some time. Thank you all for your support!

Previz workshop revisited

Hi,

This is the sequence I came up with after my previz workshop at CGTalk. I know it's pretty unfinished, but as I stated previously, my computer crashed down. Everything I was on at the time is in the same state.

Anyway, let's cheer up and focus on my actual assignments. More to come...

Juan

All in one

What's up?

I've collected all my shots so far in a single archive. It's by no means a reel, but just a collection of shots. Should everything go right, my first reel will come up this winter.

Enjoy it!!

Juan

P.D.: For some reason, reel is not displaying properly once uploaded. So, please, take your time and go down to watch shots one at a time. All the stuff posted in here as been previously posted. Sorry for the inconveniences, I'm working at that.

Trifles!

Hey there!

As I promised, I'm coming back with this new shot. My computer crashed down while on production. I could seldom finish it by the deadline. It was a hard and stressing time. Now I can't stand taking it back, so I guess it's pretty much over for the shot. Try not to be too hard on me.

Acting 01 Revisited

Hey folks!

Here I come with something new and something old! As you can see it's our well known Bishop shot. But now I have added up face stuff. So he's stoned no longer.

I hope you enjoy this and promise you next time you'll be seeing all new stuff involving... Two characters!!

Please, let me know you comments on shot. Thanks a lot!

Acting_01

Here is my vey first attemp in acting out a dialogue line. It was very estressing, but rewarding at the end. It's not exactly how I displayed it in my head, but that comes with the experience( lots of experience) and as it is an assignment directed by my mentor it's always a shared vision( though my actual mentor gives lots of free room for your own ideas).

Enjoy it and let me know if you liked it by leaving a comment.

Previs&Cinematography

Hey folks!

I've just enrolled a previs workshop held by CGTalk. I've done so in order to add some skills to my curriculum and so I can get a good, solid storytelling for my AM short movie. I don't really want my animation getting spoiled or confusing because of bad shooting. Instructor is Brian Pohl, you can find out more about him at http://workshops.cgsociety.org/instructors/brian_pohl/.

I'm really excited about this new workshop. I'll show you my progress when its finally done.

All the images are instructor's works and are (c) 20th Century Fox and Lucasfilm LTD.
